Here, you'll find our Mindfulness & Creativity programs and other resources, including our fall Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, guided meditation practices and our blog with a compilation of our previous newsletters. I hope you enjoy it!

Okay, now for some mindfulness!

Let's start with an intention. The intention to be here: fully present to our experience, whatever it may be. Witnessing this moment - the movements of the mind, the sensations of the body, sounds arising and falling - with curiosity and openness.

You could take a moment right now to explore this open presence. Being here in this breathing body. The sensations of the ground beneath you. The physical space around you - its particular temperature, colours, smells. The particular quality of mind - thoughts racing or quiet, attention narrow or open, or however the mind reveals itself.

Afterwards, you might reflect. What happened when you took this moment to be here? What effect did it have on the body? On the state of mind?

In this month's Mindfulness & Creativity session, we'll practice with this intention to be here. We'll see what happens when we ask the mind to rest in the present moment. What sensations or thoughts come up? What pulls us away from present experience? Chances are, we'll get to witness all sorts of things - plans, judgements, worries, contentment, wanting more or less of this or that experience. We'll ask why on earth we'd do this in the first place. What does mindfulness - this practice of being here - have to do with well-being or creativity?

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
